Short Curriculum Vitæ |
At the beginning of June 2004 I gave in my PhD thesis, started in October 2001, and the 9th November 2004 I had the PhD defense. I worked on my PhD thesis at the Munich University of Technology (TUM) where I worked under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Herbert Spohn on problems connected to stochastic growth models, random matrices and determinantal processes.
In December 2006 I went to Berlin at the Weierstrass Institute (WIAS) in the Interacting Random Systems group.
Since October 2008 I'm at the Institute for applied mathematics of the University of Bonn, where I'm professor since April 2009.
In 2009 I was awarded from the German National Foundation of the Heinz Maier-Leibnitz prize.
In 2001 I was awarded by the EPFL for the second best general exams average of the complete academic program at the EPFL.
