Conference Dinner

On Thursday September 8th in the medieval castle Godesburg in Bonn.

45 Euro per person for complete menu including drinks, to be paid before July 17 via bank transfer, see below.

Excursions

Excursion A: Hiking in the Ahr valley with wine testing and dinner

After a short tour through the medieval city center of Ahrweiler we will have a short walk to the former bunker of the German government. It was build as a rescue place during the cold war. Afterwards we will hike through the wineyards to Walporzheim where we visit a wine manufactory. There will be a tour through the cellars and finally accompanying a traditional regional dinner we will taste different local wine.

75 Euro (transport + guided tour + small dinner + wine tasting)

 

Excursion B: Cologne, Cathedral, Brewery

We will visit the famous cathedral in Cologne and have a guided tour through the historic city centre. In the evening we will meet in a local brewery.

25 Euro (train ticket + entrance fee + guided tour)

 

Excursion C: Koblenz, Bundesgartenschau

The city of Koblenz is this year's host of the "Bundesgartenschau". On this occasion the whole city transforms into a big park with seasonal flowers, music and cultural program. Also the old fortress, situated on a hill directly at the river Rhine and giving a wonderful view of the city and the sorroundings, is part of this exhibition. There is the possibility to reserve a table at a restaurant in Koblenz where one could meet for a dinner à la carte.

To register for conference dinner and/or excursion as well as for payment of the reduced conference fee, please send an e-mail to dinner-excursion@iam.uni-bonn.de with following informations:

1. Conference dinner: yes/no
2. Excursion: A, B, C or no
3. Reduced conference fee: 80 Euro, 50 Euro or no
4. Total amount paid via bank transfer

Please indicate explicitely if you also want to make a reservation for accompagning persons.

The registration is complete as soon as the payment is done. As for each excursion just a limited number of places is available those who register first will get the place. The registration (including the bank transfer) is open until July 17.
